ANSWER :-  21

SOLUTION:-  

Apple = 7 

 

EQUATION (2) 

Grapes = 5 + Apple 

 

Put Apple Value in equation (2)

 

Grapes = 5 + 7

Grapes = 12

 

EQUATION (3)

Apple = 1 + Banana 

Apple – 1 = Banana

 

Put Apple Value in Equation(3)

Banana = 7 – 1

Banana = 6

 

EQUATION (4)

But if you are pretty OBSERVANT then you see, in equation (4)  

there is Only ONE Banana! 

 

So, Let’s consider “1 banana” = a

then, EQUATION(3) becomes….

 

Apple = 1 + 3 a          :- ( 3 banana = 3 a )

7 -1 = 3 a

a = 6/3

a= 2                               :- ( 1 banana = 2 )

 

THEN EQUATION (4) WILL BE…

APPLE  + GRAPES  + 1 BANANA = ?

7 + 12 + 2 = 21

 

SO, ANSWER = 21
